GOP Insiders: Barletta Could Lose Republican Seats in Southeast: Retiring state Rep. John Taylor and HRCC Chair Mark Mustio are worried about the consequences of the state Republican Party endorsing Congressman Lou Barletta’s Senate campaign could have on down ticket races.

State Senate and House Open Seats Thread: 2018 has seen large numbers of retirements and candidates seeking higher office in both the state Senate and House, so we are compiling them all into one thread that will be updated as new retirements are announced.

Meehan Will Not Run for Re-Election: Congressman Pat Meehan announced he will not run for re-election this year after allegations he sexually harassed a staffer and paid a settlement out of his office budget. Meehan’s announcement creates another open Congressional seat in Pennsylvania this year.
