Legislative Elections Update:

HD-12: The candidates in the State House race for the 12th district are divided over the issue of a severance tax on natural gas drilling.

“Right now, all business in Pennsylvania is overtaxed,” said incumbent Republican Daryl Metcalfe who has served since 1999. “The majority of the people I talk to want to see our economy improve, not to tax business out of Pennsylvania.”

“We should be getting our fair share in this industry and this boon to our economy that we are not realizing as every other state around us is,” Democratic challenger Lisa Zucco said.
