PoliticsPA’s 2018 Congressional Vulnerability Ranking, October Update: Since our last ranking, Rep. Tim Murphy resigned, and Congressman Charlie Dent announced his retirement at the end of the term. We are taking the opportunity to update our rankings of the delegation.

Four Charged With Interference in the 197th House District Special Election: Attorney General Josh Shapiro announced charges against four election officers for interference in the 197th state House district last March.

Fetterman Reportedly Close to an LG Run: Former Senate candidate and Braddock Mayor John Fetterman is reportedly in the final stages of deciding if he will run for Lieutenant Governor next year, becoming the third primary challenger to current Lieutenant Governor Mike Stack.

Democratic PA-18 Candidate Sues Westmoreland County Democratic Party: Westmoreland County Commissioner and candidate for the 18th Congressional district Gina Cerilli is suing the Westmoreland Democratic Party ahead of the party meeting to send its recommendation for who should be the party’s candidate in the 18th district’s special election.
