11/2 Morning Buzz

Top 10 Redistricting Winners & Losers, Pa. SenatePoliticsPA talked with campaign consultants, political operatives and legislative staffers to see the 10 members who benefit from the plan, and who’s out of luck.Allegheny Exec: It’s the highest-dollar campaign in Pennsylvania this year, and it’s by far the messiest. PoliticsPA visited Allegheny County to check in on one of 2011’s biggest elections. Check out our analysis of the race. And take a look at this story, wherein Fitzgerald evidently exchanged words with Raja’s CM’s wife.

Roddey for Romney: Speaking of, Jim Roddey, chairman of the Republican Committee of Allegheny County, confirmed to PoliticsPA that he is endorsing Mitt Romney for President.

Unorthodox Montco GOP TV Ad: The spot features amateur footage of Democrat Josh Shapiro and running mate Leslie Richards during a meeting with the press.

Rohrer Commends Smith: Senate candidate and coal industry veteran Tom Smith is received praise from an unlikely source today: former Pa. Rep. Sam Rohrer, who sources say is all but certain to join the race for U.S. Senate against Bob Casey.

Costly Judicial Races: Legal reform groups reveled Thursday that Pennsylvania was home to the second costliest judicial elections in the nation in the 2009/2010 cycle — though that likely won’t be the case for the Commonwealth and Superior Court races this time around.
