Wagner Drops Special Election Bid in SD-28: With Wagner out, Miller is the favorite to take Waugh’s seat in the 28th District.

PA-6: Republicans Rafferty and Collins Decide Against Run: Republican State Senator and a local businessman decided against a campaign in PA-6.

PA-5: Thompson Kicks Off Reelection Bus Tour: The Republican Congressman plans to visit all 16 counties in his district in 4 days.

Legislative Elections Update:

HD-132: Freshman Rep. Mike Schlossberg (D-Lehigh) announced that he is running for reelection.

“I’m running for two reasons: first, I can get results, including an additional $9.6 million for the Allentown School District and over $200 million in transportation investments over the next five years. Second, we have so much work to do. Our education system still needs massive investment and rebuilding,” Schlossberg wrote. “Our job growth still lags behind the nation. We are still fighting for Medicaid expansion, to protect the environment and strengthen women’s and LGBT rights. I am so tired of telling people what our government has done wrong; I want to be part of a government that can do things right.”

His official campaign kick off will be February 17, 5:30pm at the West End Youth Center.
