ICYMI: The Full 2013 PA Society List of Events: It’s that time of year, politicos: Pennsylvania Society! Here’s a rundown of all the events at the weekend-long marathon of receptions and cocktails.

Marseglia Eyes Senate Challenge to Tomlinson: Democratic Bucks County Commissioner Diane Marseglia is weighing a challenge to state Senator Tommy Tomlinson in Bucks County.

Dems Parody Corbett Site: Pennsylvania Democratic Party launched a parody website of Governor Tom Corbett’s reelection campaign.

Critz Endorsed by Building & Construction Council: The former Congressman, Lieutenant Governor hopeful and longtime labor ally received the backing of his hometown Johnstown Building & Construction Trades Council today.

Legislative Election Updates

HD-74: As we predicted last week, Downingtown Mayor Josh Maxwell has officially entered the race for this newly located seat. He will face three-term Caln Township Councilman Joshua Young in the Democratic primary for the seat. Democratic Mayor Josh Maxwell was named the Best Young Politician in the area by Philadelphia Magazine in 2011. Re-elected in 2013 by nearly 40 points, and was immediately endorsed by County Commissioner Kathi Cozzone, Former State Representative Paul Drucker and officials from Caln, Valley, Sadsbury, South Coatesville, Downingtown and the city of Coatesville.

SD-6: In a district that Sen. Tommy Tomlinson (R-Bucks) has held comfortably since 1995, Democrats are trying to mount a serious challenge. Bucks County Commissioner Diane Marseglia confirmed that she is considering a run, and other names are still being rumored for a Democratic primary.

Jim Chrsitiana, my boy, why didn’t you ask permission first from Corbett’s COS Leslie-Gromis Baker and her husband Scotty Baker, UPMC’s head lobbyist, the next time you decide to stand up for the people, for taxpayers and for rate payers. These hospital wars are very good for ad guys like our Acting Governor John Brabender. Rep. Christiana, don’t you agree with me that COS Gromis-Baker should resign?
