PA-Governor-Mansion2Harper Polling shows Wolf way ahead of the pack, four new videos for candidates across the state go up, Trivedi wins the endorsement of the Chester County Dems and Myers drops out of the gubernatorial race. Good morning politicos, here’s the Buzz.

Harper Poll: Wolf at 40%, Schwartz at 14%: In the last Harper Poll, Wolf earned 5%; this month he led the pack with 40%.

PA-9: Shuster Posts New Web Ad (Video): The video follows Shuster on his bus tour throughout the 9th District.

PA-Gov: Hanger Wins Over Conservative Radio Host in Web Video (Watch): A Republican radio host contemplates whether to change parties just to vote for Hanger.

PA-Gov: Dwight Evans Appears in Latest Wolf Ad (VIDEO): The Philadelphia State Rep. cut a new TV ad for the gubernatorial candidate.

PA-Gov: McGinty Launches Two New Ads (Watch): The former DEP Secretary initiated her first big buy with an ad filmed on an iPhone.

Lt. Gov: Smith Introduces Himself In New Web Video (Watch): The Bradford County Commissioner shows a personal side in a new web video.

PA-Gov: Myers Drops Out: The Central PA minister has officially left the race for Governor.

PA-6: Chester County Dems Back Trivedi: The local party took sides in the Democratic primary between Trivedi and Parrish.

PA-8: Bucks Dems Urge Open Primary: The Bucks County Democratic Committee declined to endorse either candidate in the PA-8 race as well as the rest of the statewide ballot.

Casey and Toomey Team on “No Man Left Behind” Bill: Pennsylvania’s two Senators are introducing legislation to ensure no member of the military is left behind in Afghanistan.

Legislative Elections Update:

SD-28: Former Revenue Secretary and gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf endorsed Democrat Linda Small in the special election for the Senate seat vacated by Sen. Mike Waugh’s (R-York) resignation.

HD-22: Community organizer and activist Tatiana Tooley is running as a Democrat for the newly relocated 22nd House District seat, where she will challenge Allentown Councilman Peter Schweyer in the primary.

On the other side of the aisle, Steven Ramos, a past executive director of the Lehigh County Republican Committee, has also thrown his hat into the ring.

The 22nd District was moved from Allegheny to Lehigh County in redistricting.

HD-98: Democrat Tony Crocamo, candidate for State Representative in Pennsylvania’s 98th District picked up an endorsement from Lancaster County Commissioner Craig Lehman. He’s running against incumbent Rep. David Hickernell (R-Dauphin) who has held the seat since 2003.

HD-157: Jed Grobstein stepped back in the interests of party unity today to throw his support behind long-time Tredyffrin Township resident and Phoenixville developer Marian Moskowitz in the race for the Pennsylvania State House, 157th district.

HD-164: The Delco Dems endorsed Margo Davidson for re-election in her seat. She took 34 votes to challenger Billy Smith’s 18, Dafan Zhang’s 1 and there were 3 abstentions.

  1. Who do I see in the Corbett/Brabender to get one of those sweet appointments when I find something politically damaging about Corbett? You know: like getting to be head of the Gaming Commission, or the Turnpike Commission, or an evergreen consulting contract to a state agency? Do I see Gromis-Baker or Baby Brian Nutt? I am want so badly to do PUBLIC SERVICE!
