Republicans Laura Ellsworth, Paul Mango, and Scott Wagner all filed petitions to be on the primary ballot to challenge Governor Tom Wolf who was the only Democrat to file for the primary.
Wagner, who has the backing of the State Republican Party, filed with 17,618 signatures from 63 counties, including 42 counties with over 100 signatures.
“The overwhelming support Scott and Jeff received in all corners of the Commonwealth during the petitioning period is a testament to their relentless work ethic and the engaged grassroots infrastructure we have been building for months,” Wagner’s campaign manager Jason High said.
Mango’s campaign filed over 8,000 signatures.
Update: Mango’s campaign filed 27 counties with over 100 signatures.
Ellsworth filed 4,500 signatures including over 17 counties with over 100 signatures.
Governor Tom Wolf filed well over the requirements filing over 40,000 signatures from all 67 counties including 40 with over 100 signatures.
Candidates need to file with 10 counties of over 100 signatures.
The filing deadline starts the week long count down of candidates reviewing their opponents petitions to file any challenges to try to get them off the ballot. The deadline to file challenges is March 13th.

Did known criminal Cole Goodman file his petitions for Democratic SC? Hopefully he wasn’t so stoned that he missed the deadline!
Is he a criminal? Or just a pot head?
Let’s just say that he didn’t resign from the school board because of pot or “health reasons”, and it is more than a little ironic that he is posting about the #MeToo movement on his campaign Facebook page. It would be a sad day for Democrats if he were to get elected.
Then he should be exposed, charges for his crimes if necessary, and shamed out of the public eye
