PA-Gov: Schwartz To File 22,000 Signatures: Rep. Schwartz will file approximately 11 times the requirement to get on the PA-Gov ballot.

PA-Gov: Wolf Files 12,000 Signatures: The former Revenue Secretary filed 12,000 signatures.

PA-Gov: McGinty Files 5,272 Signatures: Candidate for governor Katie McGinty received more than double the signatures that she needed to get onto the ballot.

PA-Gov: Richardson to Host Fundraiser for McGinty: The former New Mexico Governor hopes to raise money for Katie McGinty’s bid for governor.

PA-Gov: Wolf Hires Deputy Campaign Manager, Eric Hagarty: The former Revenue Secretary picked up a new staff member from Western PA.

Lt Gov: Koplinski Files 6,000 Signatures, At Least 1 From Each County: The Harrisburg City Councilman filed at least one signature from every county in the Commonwealth.

SD-28: SRCC Slams Wagner In Another Ad: The new ad mentions Miller’s lawsuit against an elderly widow.

Legislative Elections Update:

HD-20: Tom Fodi officially filed his petition signatures to seek the Republican nomination for the 20th State House District in order to challenge the incumbent Adam Ravenstahl or his primary challenger Tom Michalow. Fodi will not have a Republican challenger in the May 20th primary.

HD-40: Northampton County Councilman Scott Parsons, candidate for the new 40th State Senate District, filed his petitions yesterday, with over 850 signatures

HD-131: Justin Simmons faces a Democratic challenger, the son of the Republican incumbent that he defeated in 2010. Rep. Karen Beyer held the seat when Simmons ousted her in the primary, and now her son Michael Beyer is seeking familial redemption.

HD-138: Bethlehem Township resident Leslie Altieri filed 500 petition signatures to secure a place on the Primary ballot as the Democratic Candidate for State Representative in the 138th Legislative District. She will face Rep. Marcia Hahn (R-Northampton), in a rematch of their 2012 battle.

HD-163: Vince Rongione today filed over 1,350 nominating petition signatures to earn his place on the ballot for the 163rd legislative district; so far, this looks like one of the highest quantities of signatures reported by a State House candidate. Rongione is running for the seat vacated by Rep. Nick Micozzie’s retirement.
