Captain “Sully” Sullenberger Blasts Shuster Amendment
Captain “Sully” Sullenberger, the airline pilot credited with “the Miracle on the Hudson,” is taking aim at an amendment offered by Rep. Shuster that critics claim would scale back aviation safety legislation. Shuster says that his amendment is in keeping with the goals of President Obama’s administration to make regulation more efficient, and won’t impact safety precautions already in place.
Pa. Republicans React to Obama’s Libya Speech
A few members of the GOP PA Delegation took a moment to respond to Obama’s Libya address. Many applaud the President for explaining his decision, but few were 100% satisfied with the explanation. Many left with more questions than answers.
“Commonwealth One” For Sale; Corbett Slams Rendell Transportation Policy
Cornett’s move gained symbolic importance when the Governor said the bus “represents everything wrong with state government – it’s outdated, inefficient and broken down,” a clear criticism of the Rendell administration.

Toomey Urges Balanced Budget in Latest Legislation
Toomey wants to create a Constitutional Amendment which would make it illegal for the budget to spend more than its revenue, and spending would be capped at 18 percent of the GDP. The entire Senate GOP Congress is said to be on board.
