Rich Fitzgerald won with 66,123 votes to Mark Flaherty’s 52,558. With 56% of the vote, Fitzgerald was clearly favored by 12% more of the county’s voters.

With 97.78 percent of precincts reporting the Democratic primary election for district two is deadlocked with State Representative Kenyatta Johnson receiving 7,435 votes to Real Estate Agent and Community Organizer Barbara Copozzi’s 7,363 votes, leaving the election too close to call.
Squilla Wins The Philly Council District 1 Race
With 96 percent of precincts reporting, President of the Whitman Council Mark Squilla has won the City Council district one Democratic primary election receiving a total of 7,435 votes, topping Executive Director of CeasefirePA Joe Grace with 4,009 votes, Community Organizer Jeff Hornstein with 3,390 votes and last, Attorney Vern Anastasio with 2,761 votes.
