64 of 67 Counties Have Certified Election

Sixty-four of the Commonwealth’s 67 counties have officially certified the 2024 presidential election, according to the Pennsylvania Department of State (DOS).

As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, only Allegheny, Fayette, and McKean had not turned in their results to DOS.

“The reason these counties have not yet certified is not the result of a refusal to do so, but rather because of ordinary delays in the certification process,” said DOS Press Secretary Matt Heckel in an email. “The Department has been in contact with these counties and expects to receive final computations from all counties this week.”

Allegheny County election officials told PoliticsPA that their results will be certified at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Fayette County, located in the southwestern corner of the state, has scheduled a special county commissioners meeting for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday where it is expected to certify its results.

McKean County, located in the northern tier of the Commonwealth, has a county commissioners meeting slated for Wednesday as well at 10 a.m.
