8/23 Morning Buzz

He’s back! Rick Santorum is hoping to bolster his post-Ames cred with a strong fundraising performance, and he’s hoping to tap his once-formidable fundraising circle in Pennsylvania. Politico’s (and formerly pa2010’s) Dan Hirschhorn has the scoop on Santorum’s 8-stop PA swing.

She’s out! Arlene Ackerman, the embattled (former) Superintendant of the Philadelphia School district, reports Kristen Graham of the Inquirer. Ackerman had been taking fire from almost all sides, and walks away from one of the toughest gigs in America with a $905,000 severance package.
