Pa. Dems Fall Meeting Recap: The Pennsylvania Democratic Party held its Fall meeting in Harrisburg, holding its Fall dinner with Jason Kander, and its general meeting sending off its judicial candidates into the Fall campaign season, and passing resolutions including support for single payer healthcare.

McNeill Passes Away at 70: State Rep. Dan McNeill passed away today at 70.

Freed Nominated for U.S. Attorney Posting: Cumberland County District Attorney Dave Freed was named as the U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

Sabato’s Crystal Ball & Cook Political Report Shift PA-15 After Dent’s Retirement: After Congressman Charlie Dent announced he would not be running for re-election, Sabato’s Crystal Ball, the Cook Political Report, and Inside Elections shifted their ratings for the 15 Congressional district.

How Pennsylvania’s Delegation Voted on Harvey Aid Package: Both the Senate and House passed the aid package for the areas affected by Hurricane Harvey. Pennsylvania’s delegation voted along the same lines as they did for the aid package for the areas affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Mackenzie Enters Race for Open 15th District: State Representative Ryan Mackenzie announced this morning he will be entering the race to replace retiring Congressman Charlie Dent.
