PA-state-flag6-14Former state Rep. Jennifer Mann will not be running in the 15th Congressional district, S&P downgrades Pennsylvania’s credit, and the latest Politically Uncorrected column looks at Casey v Barletta next year.  Good morning politicos, here’s the Playbook!

Mann Not Running for PA-15: Former state Representative Jennifer Mann told PoliticsPA that she will not be running in the 15th Congressional district next year.

Politically Uncorrected: Casey vs. Barletta – a Bridge Too Far: A hoary old adage about the weather is often attributed to Mark Twain: if you don’t like it now wait five minutes and it will change. Something like that has happened to the burgeoning reelection campaign of Pennsylvania’s Bob Casey now running for a third term to the U.S. Senate.

S&P Downgrades Pennsylvania’s Credit: Pennsylvania’s credit rating has been officially downgraded by Standard & Poors, marking the second downgrade in three years.

Judicial Election Update
Judge Debbie Kunselman announced endorsements by the AFL-CIO, Pennsylvania Building Trades and Construction Council, and PSEA.
“I’m honored to have the support of Pennsylvania’s working men and women. From the building trades to the the teachers and the police, I am grateful, and I want to thank them for their votes and support in November,” Kunselman said.

Paul Lalley announced his endorsement by the Pennsylvania Coal Alliance.
“I am incredibly honored to have the support of the Pennsylvania Coal Alliance. The members who make up this organization literally power our state by providing electricity to our homes and businesses. I know their strong support will ensure our campaign’s success in November,” Lalley said.
