The Democratic Philadelphia Mayoral Primary is getting crowded.
Former District Attorney Lynne Abraham is set to jump into the race.
Abraham sent out a press notice that she’ll be announcing her candidacy next Wednesday November 19th at noon. The event will be held at the Franklin Institute.
Abraham served as Philadelphia’s DA from 1991 to 2010. She was initially appointed to the position and then re-elected four times.
She is now the third declared candidate in the race to replace retiring Mayor Michael Nutter.
Terry Gillen and Ken Trujillo have already thrown their hats into the ring.
The long list of other possible challengers includes: State Sen. Anthony Hardy Williams, City Controller Alan Butkovitz, Councilman Jim Kenney, former Councilman Frank Rizzo Jr., and City Council President Darrell Clarke.
