AP: Ciarrocchi, Scheller Pull Out Wins

The Associated Press has called Guy Ciarrocchi and Lisa Scheller as the winners in their respective primary races for the U.S. House.

Ciarrocchi, president and CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry and former gubernatorial candidate, was declared the winner of the Republican primary in the 6th Congressional District. He currently holds a 2,226-vote lead over runner-up Steve Fanelli in the Berks and Chester County district. Ciarrocchi will meet incumbent Democrat Chrissy Houlahan in November.

Scheller, chairwoman and CEO of Silberline Manufacturing, earned the AP nod as the winner of the GOP primary in the 7th Congressional District which comprises Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe and Northampton counties. She holds a 1,757-vote advantage over challenger Kevin Dellicker and is set to take on Democratic incumbent Susan Wild in the fall.

  1. So happy to hear that Guy won his primary! Pennsylvania needs MORE folks like Guy to run for public office!

  2. Positive messaging needs to come back to politics. Ciarrocchi did that even though one of his opponents didn’t. Don’t get sucked into negative campaigning. No one wants to hear it. Talk issues.

  3. I see in the Pat Browne race his opponent wants to stop counting all votes. If I were ahead by 30 votes I’d probably want that too. The fact is if one ballot is not done correctly but others in a box are then what’s the problem? I voted early. I was emailed the ballot was received. My vote counted. I don’t see the controversy. Odd fact if you vote mail in but “buy the farm” before Election Day your ballot doesn’t count. SO, if you vote early, don’t kick the bucket!

  4. Guy… he could have had a shot at Chrissy if Mastriano weren’t at the top of the ticket.
