Baer: Sestak needs to take to the air

RETIRED ADMIRAL Joe Sestak has not yet begun to fight, but I’m thinking he’s getting ready.

The clock’s ticking toward the May 18 Democratic Senate primary and it’s time Sestak abandons his ineffective ground game and starts a TV air raid.

It’s his only hope to unseat the state’s longest-serving senator, the one, the only Darlin’ Arlen.

Sestak had $5 million back in January. Given how poorly he pays his staff and assuming he’s raised money since (new reports are due next week), I’ll bet there’s enough to mount a major TV campaign to run until Election Day.

In Pennsylvania, by the way, that price tag is just about $1 million a week.
