Closing arguments set for Thursday in Ramaley trial

HARRISBURG — The defense rested today in the trial of former Rep. Sean Ramaley, without Ramaley taking the witness stand.

Ramaley, 34, of Baden is charged with six counts of theft, conspiracy and conflict of interest for allegedly using the income from a taxpayer-paid job to support himself while he campaigned for office in 2004.

Lawyers will make closing arguments Thursday to a jury of six men and women in Dauphin County Court.
