Congressional Quarterly, a Washington, D.C.-based authority on congressional races, has now re-labeled two of Pennsylvania congressional races “toss-ups” instead of “leans Democratic.”
Those races, in the 6th and 7th districts, will not be defended by incumbents Joe Sestak (D-7) and Jim Gerlach (R-6) as they pursue their ambitions for the US Senate and the Governor’s Mansion, respectively.
Instead, a cast of compelling candidates has already populated the primary fields and created immediate intrigue in both primary and general election projections.
