In the days after a legislative bonus program became public, House Democratic staffers scrambled to concoct a story to throw off an impending investigation by Attorney General Tom Corbett, according to testimony presented today.
Mike Manzo, Scott Brubaker and a third aide who has not been charged in the case — met with Mr. Corbett, according to Mr. Brubaker.
“Lies were put forth to Mr. Corbett, yes,” Mr. Brubaker said this afternoon on the witness stand while under cross-examination by defense attorney Bryan Walk.
