During an appearance on “Meet the Press” Sunday, newly nominated Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Joe Sestak reiterated he received a job offer from the White House in exchange for dropping his bid against incumbent Arlen Specter.
But the congressman, despite prodding from show host David Gregory, again declined to give any further details about the offer. The White House has vigorously denied proposing any such deal to the Senate hopeful, who defeated Specter by a surprisingly comfortable 8-point margin last Tuesday.
Gregory also pushed Sestak on a number of subjects, including whether he could name any differences he possesses with President Obama.
