Democratic U.S. Rep. Chris Carney’s campaign has about $485,000 on hand after raising roughly $150,000 during the last fundraising quarter, campaign finance reports show.

Carney, who represents the 10^th Congressional District, has three Republicans fighting for the right to challenge him in the general election this year: former U.S. Attorney Tom Marino, businessman Dave Madeira and Snyder County Commissioner Malcolm Derk.

The moderate 10^th District is one of many across Pennsylvania to receive an influx of Republican candidates in January, seemingly buoyed by a national environment favorable to the GOP. Carney, courted by the Republican Party late last year to switch parties, cruised to re-election in 2008 against Chris Hackett.
