Democratic gubernatorial candidate Joe Hoeffel has roughly $100,000 on hand after spending about $366,000 in the first three months of 2010, his campaign said Tuesday.
The Montgomery County Commissioner raised nearly $240,000 during the latest fundraising period.
The total puts him significantly behind his three Democratic rivals. Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato has about $6.7 million on hand, state Senator Anthony Williams about $1.5 million, and Auditor General Jack Wagner nearly $675,000.
As of Wednesday, Williams and Onorato will both begin running TV ads. Most analysts peg the cost of running TV ads statewide at about $1 million a week.
