Touting his business background and conservative credentials, 3rd district Republican candidate Paul Huber’s campaign went on the air today with a new ad.

Huber, who faces a crowded primary field, including local businessman Mike Kelly, is aiming to unseat freshman Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper (D) in the Erie-based district.  Conservative candidate Ebert G. “Bill” Beeman recently entered the race as a Libertarian candidate, but most observers believe the GOP primary will come down to Huber and Kelly.

Dahlkemper, a member of the fiscally conservative “Blue Dog” caucus, is widely considered to be among Pennsylvania’s most vulnerable Democrats.  The third district, long held by Republican Phil English, “leans Democrat” according to CQ, and is ranked by PoliticsPA as the third most likely Pennsylvania district to switch parties.

Huber’s ad is below:

  1. You gotta love Huber!! He is a conservate yet was a Democrat from 1977 – 2009 (shortly before he decided to run for Congress)

He is a businessman who creates jobs, yet his company laid off in Meadville while his partner plant in the country of Poland grew.

He’s not a career politician, but he sure acts like one!!!

    Give me the other guy.

  2. Quick Correction from Above: It’s MIKE Kelly, not Tom Kelly. =) And Mike is definitely the way to go.
