Onorato tries to seize reform mantle from Corbett- It is a race away from Harrisburg as both gubernatorial candidates try to demonstrate why they are more equipped to reform the legislature, Onorato is saying that because he is not part of the Harrisburg apparatus, he can bring an outside approach to the workings of the legislature. Corbett claims his work as Attorney General, cracking down on corruption in state government shows that he is ready to reform the way business is done at the state capital.
DADT and what it means for November- Congressional candidates Manan Trivedi and Bryan Lentz are both using last weeks House vote to repeal “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” as rallying points in their congressional campaigns.
State Sen. Daylin Leach defends the legislature- In a scathing op-ed, Rep. Daylin Leach says that the Bonusgate grand jury just does not understand how the legislature works and says its recommendations are impractical.

Get your poker face ready – The Rivers Casino paid the $16.5 million licensing fee and will start table games in July, according to the Post-Gazette.
Delaware County Democrats are optimistic about November – With Rep. Joe Sestak and State Sen. Bryan Lentz at the top of the ticket, Delaware county Democrats believe they can reverse the tide against the Republican Party machine at every level of local government. (H/t Grassroots PA)
It’s a one-man race – According to write-in vote tallies, State Sen. Robert Robbins won the republican nomination for his senate seat and faces no challenger in the fall.
It just keeps growing and growing and growing – The state budget deficit has risen to $1.2 billion, $125 million more than expected, which should make the budget negotiations that much more fun.
