Joe Sestak has an A rating from the National Education Association. He should have been endorsed by the PSEA. He is more trustworthy than Mr. Specter whose allegiances turn with the tide. We should not forget Specter’s role in getting the anti-labor, ultra conservative Clarence Thomas on the Supreme Court by trashing Anita Hill. As Assistant Counsel for the Warren Commission he was one of the key architects of the single bullet theory which was necessary in order to quash any investigation of a possible conspiracy in the Kennedy assassination. About 6 years ago, Bush Education Secretary Rodney Paige called the NEA a terrorist organization. Around the same time period, both Specter and Paige were out speaking together in Pennsylvania. We can do better with Sestak who has a solid education and labor record and does not have a tainted history.
