Sen. Arlen Specter (D) added another 47 names to his Advisory Committee today, ensuring that officials from all of the Commonwealth’s 67 counties are represented. The Advisory Committee, ”formed to assist in [Sen. Specter's] campaign for the 2010 Democratic nomination to the U.S. Senate,” helps solidify support for the newly-minted Democrat among the party’s regional bases.
One state Representative, Florindo Fabrizio from Erie County, was among those joining the committee today, but the group of 261 Pennsylvanians is largely comprised of county-level officials and part organizers.
So far, notables to join Specter’s Advisory committee include US Reps. Chaka Fattah, Tim Holden, and Democratic State Chairman T.J. Rooney.
