Senate candidate Joe Sestak’s campaign said Friday it has accepted an invitation for another debate against Arlen Specter, although the incumbent indicated earlier this week he would agree to only one.

The debate, hosted by Franklin & Marshall College, would be moderated by pollster Terry Madonna.

The news comes after the two campaigns agreed to their first, and possibly only debate, offered by the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters. It would likely take place in early Mary in Philadelphia.

Although he accepted the offer, Sestak’s campaign at the time said one debate isn’t enough. Earlier this week, he challenged Specter to a series of six debates, one in each of Pennsylvania’s media markets.

“At a time when people in Pennsylvania and all across the country are demanding more accountability and transparency from their public servants, it’s especially important that we travel to each major region of the state and tell the voters exactly where we stand — on national issues as well as important local issues,” Sestak said in a statement.

Specter has said he traditionally participates in one debate against a primary opponent.
