Pat Toomey leads both his potential Democratic U.S. Senate candidates by nearly 10 points in a general election contest, according to a poll from Rasmussen Reports released Thursday.
Toomey, the all-but-certain GOP nominee, leads Specter 49 percent to 40 percent. He defeats Sestak in a hypothetical matchup 43 percent to 35 percent.
The Republican’s lead has increased from last month, according to the polling firm. A Rasmussen poll taken then showed him leading Specter by four percentage points and Sestak by six.
The poll, taken Monday, surveyed 1,000 likely voters and has a margin of error of 3 points.
A Rasmussen poll released Wednesday showed Specter leading by 21 points over Sestak in a Democratic primary.
