Manan Trivedi’s campaign said Wednesday it had secured endorsements from three state lawmakers and an array of 6^th Congressional District officials.

Berks county lawmakers Dante Santoni and Tim Seip have endorsed the congressional candidate, his campaign said, along with Philadelphia state Rep. Babette Josephs.

Trivedi, a former Iraq war physician, faces former Philadelphia Inquirer editorialist Doug Pike in the district’s Democratic primary. The race was turned on its head late last week when Republican incumbent U.S. Rep. Jim Gerlach ended his gubernatorial campaign to seek re-election.
