Democratic gubernatorial candidate Dan Onorato on Wednesday received the endorsement of the Pennsylvania State Education Association, a boost to his campaign as he tries to separate from his three inter-party candidates.

The announcement will be made at 3:30 in Philadelphia.

Onorato faces Auditor General Jack Wagner, state Senator Anthony Williams, and Montgomery County Commissioner Joe Hoeffel for the Democratic nomination.

Although his fundraising and campaign infrastructure has most observers calling him the party’s front-runner, polling has shown the race remains very tight because most voters don’t know who the candidates are.
