Harrisburg attorney Sheila Dow Ford formally announced her candidacy for Congress Thursday at the state Capitol.

Dow Ford will challenge U.S. Rep. Tim Holden for the Democratic nomination in the state’s May 18 primary to represent the district that includes Dauphin, Lebanon and Schuylkill counties, and parts of Berks and Perry counties.
