The Specter campaign again blasted primary opponent Joe Sestak yesterday for missing two congressional votes.
“Congressman Joe Sestak missed two more votes yesterday evening in the House of Representatives but found time to participate in a liveblog minutes after the missed votes,” Specter spokesman Christopher Nicholas said in a release. “It’s no wonder that people have begun referring to Cong. Sestak as NoShowJoe.”
Though PoliticsPA doubts that many people are referring to Rep. Sestak as “NoShowJoe,” the Specter campaign has created a website, noshowjoe.org, that labels him as such. The site, which chronicles Sestak’s missed votes and describes what he was doing when he missed many of them, matches the Sestak campaign’s site, The Real Arlen Specter.
The Specter-Sestak primary is expected to be among the nastiest in the country. The winner will likely face GOP candidate Pat Toomey in the general election.
