Philadelphia—Organizing for America—Pennsylvania (OFA-PA) Communications Director Kerri Axelrod released the following statement on the Senate confirming Elena Kagan to be an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court:
 
“OFA supporters in Pennsylvania could not be more pleased the Senate has confirmed Elena Kagan to become an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court. Today’s bipartisan confirmation affirms what we have known for quite some time-Elena Kagan was an inspired choice by President Obama and she will be an asset to the nation’s highest court and the American people. Her confirmation also assures that for the first time in history the Supreme Court will have three sitting female justices. As a trailblazer her whole life, this is a fitting honor for Kagan.
 
“Throughout her impressive career Elena Kagan has been praised for her sharp intellect, an ability and willingness to listen to opposing opinions, and an understanding of the impact laws have on the lives of everyday Americans. OFA supporters are confident she will bring these fine traits to the Supreme Court and will be an excellent justice who will work to make sure the scales of justice are even-handed and fair to all citizens.”
