Witnesses recall alcohol odor on man accused of driving drunk in crash that killed Sen. Rhoades

“Like a brewery.”

Those are the words two witnesses – one layperson and one medical professional – used to describe the smell of the man accused of driving drunk in the October 2008 car accident that killed state Sen. James J. Rhoades.

The homicide trial against Thomas P. Senavitis, 46, of Kunkletown began Wednesday morning in Courtroom No. 1 of the Monroe County Courthouse.
