Barletta Enters Election Year With $1 Million on Hand

Congressman Lou Barletta (R-Luzerne) announced he U.S. Senate campaign is starting 2018 with just over $1 million on hand.

“Our campaign has built great momentum heading into 2018.  The response we have received in only a short time has been inspiring,” Barletta said in a release announcing the total.

Barletta’s campaign said they have raised over $1 million in the last four months as well.

Barletta’s campaign finished the third quarter fundraising with $950,966 on hand, meaning Barletta netted a little over $50,000 during the fourth quarter fundraising period.

Barletta is running to challenge Senator Bob Casey, who announced he ended the year with $8.6 million on hand.

Barletta has been unifying the support of the Republican party establishment, winning all but 17 votes in the three caucus straw polls that have been held so far.

Bartletta is running against businessman Paul Addis, Cynthia Ayers, state Rep. Jim Christiana, and Bobby Lawrence for the Republican nomination.

  1. I’ll be interested in seeing which big money donors he acquires this year. Let’s see who he’s really working for.

  2. How much does Casey have…$4-5 million? This boob has no shot to seriously take on the Casey machine. This Trump lover also stands zero chance of diluting enough SEPA votes to win statewide. Wagner/Barletta will doom any Republican running in SEPA all while losing their own races. Good work, PA GOP!
