Barletta Wins GOP Senate Nod

The race for U.S. Senate is set with Congressman Lou Barletta winning the Republican primary.

Barletta defeated state Rep. Jim Christiana (R-Beaver).

The National Republican Senatorial Committee congratulated Barletta on the win.

“Lou has established himself as tireless advocate for Pennsylvania families, and his strong record of success will undoubtedly lead him to victory over Bob Casey and his history of flip-flopping on the issues that matter to Pennsylvanians,” NRSC Executive Director Chris Hansen said.

National outlets called the race with just over 50% of precincts reporting and Barletta holding a 63-36 lead over Christiana.
