Former Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, are set to make a swing through western Pennsylvania on Wednesday as a part of the campaign’s “Build Back Better Express” train tour.
The train tour will launch in Cleveland, OH at 9:45 A.M. and will make stops in Pittsburgh and Greensburg, before the Biden’s participate in a campaign event in New Alexandria at 4:30 P.M. The tour continues after this event with an additional stop in Latrobe and ends with a drive-in event in Johnstown at 7:30 PM. Those interested in livestreaming the events can do so here.
Both presidential tickets have been active in the Keystone State during the month of September.
Vice President Mike Pence is slated to host a Presidential Debate Watch Party in Lancaster County on Tuesday evening.
Last week, President Donald Trump held two rallies in the state at airport hangars- one in Harrisburg and the other in Pittsburgh. In the previous week, Trump participated in a town hall in Philadelphia hosted by ABC News. Trump visited the Flight 93 National Memorial on September 11 and in the first week of September, he held a rally in Westmoreland County.
Trump has made separate appearances in the state each week this month.
Former Vice President Joe Biden’s most recent appearance was when he delivered remarks in Philadelphia on September 20, calling on Republicans in the Senate to wait until after the presidential election to confirm a replacement for Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. A few days before that Biden participated in a CNN town hall in Scranton, while Sen. Kamala Harris campaigned in Philadelphia.
Recent polling indicates that Biden has the slight edge over Trump in the state. The Real Clear Politics Average shows Biden besting Trump by 5.7 points in Pennsylvania.
