Bloom Announces $110k Fundraising Haul

BloomState Representative Stephen Bloom’s (R-Cumberland) campaign announced it had raised $110,000 since he entered the race for the 11th Congressional district on September 18th.

“I’ve never run for Congress before, so I’m deeply humbled and encouraged by the powerful response we’ve already received,” Bloom said in a release.

The donations came from over 100 supporters.  The release did not detail on how many of the donors were small money donors.

Former Revenue Secretary Dan Meuser is also in the race.  Former Federal prosecutor Joe Peters and businessman Andrew Lewis are both considering runs for the seat as well.

  1. Still has the record for the worst announcement video in the history of politics.

    1. Well 110k out of a bad announcement video is pretty impressive. This guy films a decent commercial his donations could go through the roof.

  2. Improtnant to note, Lewis and Peters aren’t in yet. So only Shecktor, Bloom, Meuser will need to report numbers. Figure shecktor probably raised like 10k. Blooms at 100k, and Mueser probably has like a 1Mil. No way Meuser posts less than 700k. Guy probably gave more than 100k to other candidates last year.

    1. Knowing Dan Meusers record that 100k he gave was probably to Hillary Clinton. But yeah he’s got a lot of money to throw at this race. Probably will win, because of it.

  3. 100 donations in two weeks ain’t bad. He even outpaced the establishements choice, Ryan Mackenzie.

    1. These are different races, idiot. You clearly have no clue what you are talking about.

Also, Mackenzie will win his race because he is a conservative, but backed by all factions of the party because people actually like him, unlike Simmons who no one likes.

      1. Well if they are different races then looks like we are headed for congressmen McKenzie and congressman bloom
