U.S. House Speaker John Boehner is coming to Harrisburg next week to raise money for freshman Republican Congressman Scott Perry (R-York).
It’s Boehner’s second visit to Pa. this month. He held a fundraiser for the Pa. delegation in Pittsburgh in mid-July.
“That speaks to the great amount of cooperation he’s gotten from the Pennsylvania delegation on a number of votes,” said Chris Nicholas.
Nicholas is the Political & Grassroots Director for the Pa. Business Council and a veteran GOP operative.
Perry’s 4th district covers south central Pa.: Adams and York counties, plus eastern Cumberland County and the City of Harrisburg.
The former state Rep. won a seven-way primary in 2012 and cruised to a general election victory.
The event will be a lunch at Harrisburg’s Metro Bank Park from 11:30am to 1pm, the Patriot News reports. It will cost $500 per person and $750 per couple. It will be closed to news media.

Very likely that he’ll be here again in the future to push for Bill Shuster. Unfortunately for Billy Boy, most of his constituents aren’t too thrilled with Boehner anymore either!
Amazing that John Boehner looks moderate standing next to Perry. I’m surprised that Perry would let Boehner into the State — oh that’s right, he’s raising money for Scott.
