Bolton to Headline PAGOP Dinner

JohnBolton
Fmr. UN Ambassador John Bolton

John Bolton, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, will attend a Pa. Republican Party dinner in Harrisburg, the party announced Monday.

The September 20th dinner will be held at the Harrisburg Hilton Hotel. VIP reception/dinner tickets are $250, general dinner tickets are $100.

Bolton served as ambassador to the U.N. under President George W. Bush from 2005-2006. Prior to that, he was the U.S. permanent representative to the U.N. and under secretary of state for arms control and international security.

The former ambassador, who for a short time floated a possible GOP bid for the presidency in 2012, is a prominent neoconservative and is a controversial figure, especially in his past criticism of the U.N.

In 1994, Bolton infamously stirred up controversy after railing against the U.N: “If the U.N. secretariat building in New York lost 10 stories, it would not make a bit of difference.”

  1. Mr. Bolton knows his stuff even if it doesn’t fit your notion of how things ought to be. It would be refreshing to hear the real history and story on Egypt for example. I remember Anwar Sadat. What has happened since?
    What are our valid options?

  2. Paranoid Neo-con wackjob John Bolton?? That is their idea of a “draw?” Lolol… That party really does have no stars. Why not just invite a Koch brother, even the crazy one from Colorado? It’s the party of Money Talks anyway.

  3. Wow, take about pull out the big guns. I will be selling pillows in the lobby for $5 if anyone is interested
