Boockvar Campaign Endorsed By Emily’s List

By Ben Griffiths, Contributing Writer

Congressional candidate Kathy Boockvar (PA-8) announced today that the influential women’s organization EMILY’s List has put her “on the list”. EMILY’s List, an acronym for “Early Money Is Like Yeast”, is the largest political resource for women in the country.

With its network of over 1 million supporters, EMILY’s List has opened the fundraising floodgates for the Boockvar campaign.

“This significant step ensures we have access to EMILY’s List’s powerful network of supporters, and will bring more attention to a race already in the national spotlight,” said Boockvar. “I am so proud and thankful to have an organization like EMILY’s List behind me, and the boost it gives to the campaign is tremendous.”

EMILY’s List raised over $38.5 million for its chosen women candidates in the 2009-2010 cycle alone.

“We are proud to put a strong leader like Kathy ‘On the List’,” said Stephanie Schriock, President of EMILY’s List. “Her common-sense attitude and dedication to women and the disadvantaged are just what we need in Washington.”

The Emily’s List endorsement is one of several endorsements the candidate has recieved including ones from the Bucks and Montgomery County Democratic Committees as well as the Women’s Campaign Fund.

  1. Great move. When will the extremists from BOTH parties in Bucks County realize that the voters of that wonderful county are moderate. Trotting out and endorsement from Emily’s list is just as bad as running around with the Pro-Life Federation. Tell us how you’ll create jobs.
