BREAKING: Exit Polls: Obama Takes Early Lead in PA

President Barack Obama has opened up an early lead in Pennsylvania over GOP Challenger Mitt Romney, according to CNN exit polls.

Results show that Obama holds a five point lead over Romney, 52-47. Keep posted with PoliticsPA for further updates.

UPDATE

CBS News has some further details regarding demographics in PA.

According to exit polls, 51 percent of men in PA favor Romney, compared to 48 percent for Obama.  However, Obama is favored by women by 53 percent, compared to Romney’s 45 percent.

Another key number is party turnout. 44 percent of voters identified as Democrats, compared to 36 percent Republicans.
