Lentz Further Demonstrates Whose Marching Orders He FollowsDREXEL HILL, PA – Shortly after President Obama proposed a series of tax write-offs for businesses, Bryan Lentz immediately issued a press release praising the President’s proposal, saying “The economic activity that these tax breaks generate will have a powerful impact on job creation across a broad range of industries.”
“Bryan Lentz’s head must be spinning with how quickly he’s changing his positions on tax policy lately,” said Bryan Kendro, campaign manager for Pat Meehan.
During the debate on August 27 with Dom Giordano, Lentz expressed his opposition to tax write-offs saying, “I’ve been doing a tour of companies throughout the district, you hear it from companies that tax credits, tax write-offs which politicians like to talk a lot about, what you hear from some of these companies is, ‘well look, we didn’t make any money last year, so giving us a tax write-off doesn’t really do us any good. What we need is capital, what we need is the ability to purchase new equipment and invest in our facilities.'”
“Bryan Lentz has proven yet again that he takes his orders from Democrats in Washington,” Kendro continued. “Lentz opposed an increase in the tax write-offs a business may take, but as soon as the President announced the new policy he fell into line and issued a statement supporting it.”
Earlier this week, Lentz flip flopped on another of his economic positions saying he would be open to supporting extending the tax cuts for those making over $250,000 despite months of opposing it. About Pat Meehan
