Can Toomey Save His Failing Campaign at Tonight’s Debate?

Harrisburg, PA – Tonight, Pat Toomey will try to save his failing campaign as Joe Sestak seizes the lead in the polls. Toomey’s once significant lead has completely eroded as Pennsylvanians learned that his record was, in Toomey’s words, “pretty hard to distinguish from Rick Santorum’s.”

“Pat Toomey is a right wing extremist in the mold of Rick Santorum and Sarah Palin, and he’ll have a tough time defending his record in tonight’s debate as his campaign stalls,” said Mark Nicastre a spokesman with the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. “As Joe Sestak has seized the momentum in the race, tonight presents one of the last opportunities for Pat Toomey to explain his far right record and lifelong support of Wall Street over Pennsylvania. How will Pat Toomey explain his plans to privatize Social Security, eliminate corporate taxes, and deregulate Wall Street at tonight’s debate?”
