Casey Calls For Trump To Step Down

Amid sexual assault allegations, a small group of politicians are calling for President Donald Trump to resign. Sen. Bob Casey (D-Pa.) is now a part of that group including Sens. Bernie Sanders, Cory Booker and Jeff Merkley.

On Wednesday, Casey told ThinkProgress that “President Trump documented history of sexual harassment and assault should have been disqualifying during last year’s election. I support a congressional investigation in order to hold him accountable for his actions.”

In light of the uptick in sexual harassment allegations including those against Sen. Al Franken and U.S Rep John Conyers leading to their resignations, an increasing number of politicians are calling for action.

Casey has been more outspoken politically since Trump’s election, especially on Twitter.

Some Republicans took issue with Casey’s statement including Lou Barletta saying “The people of Pennsylvania elected President Trump. The election is over! Senator Casey should spend more time fighting for Pennsylvania’s workers, securing our borders, giving working class families a tax break and fixing our healthcare.”

  1. You know it’s an election year when The Invisible Senator reappears from the shadows for a few minutes to try to look like he’s accomplishing something.

  2. Casey you are as no good as your father. I support Mango, Barletta. Get a spine and your nose out of crying Chuck and dementia Nancy

  3. Yet for the first 2 weeks Casey never said a word about Sen. Al Franken. Casey is all whats wrong with Politics. Casey has NEVER held a Job other then Political ones. He is a silver spoon baby. . Before i get attacked, i’m a Democrat and Bernie Supporter. Lets just say i will never vote for the Establishment Dems or Reps.

    1. Dumb way to think. Not ALL establishment Dems are bad. Or at least they are better than others, sometimes.

  4. I agree with you Bob Casey about having Donald Trump Stepping down as President and that way for Mike Pence can be our 46th President of the United States, and i’m also a Mike Pence supporter and not a Donald Trump supporter.
