State Representative Jim Christiana (R-Beaver) is starting to roll out endorsements from fellow state House members for his U.S. Senate bid. Christiana announced the endorsements of state Representatives Garth Everett (R-Lycoming) and Mark Mustio (R-Allegheny).
Everett’s endorsement came last week during an event in his district.
“Bob Casey lacks the political courage to affect real change for the people of Pennsylvania. With a record of fighting the status quo in Harrisburg, Jim Christiana is the only candidate who is equipped and unafraid to take him on,” Everett said during the event.
Mustio’s endorsement came after the Washington Post/60 Minutes detailing the effects of a law that undermined the DEA’s ability to go after drug distributors. Mustio’s comments focused on Christiana’s history on the opioid crisis and his votes.
“Of the two leading candidates for the U.S. Senate, Jim Christiana is the only lawmaker who has not allowed his votes to be guided by protecting opioid distributors. “Jim’s record represents clean hands and good judgment on an issue that’s singlehandedly shredding the social fabric of our communities,” Mustio said in a release.
The endorsements will likely help Christiana gain some earned media in the districts Everett and Mustio’s districts.
Congressman Lou Barletta and businessmen Paul Addis, Jeff Bartos, and Bobby Lawrence are all also in the race.

Know him well. A first class ***hole.
It takes a great deal of courage to run for public office. Making childish remarks about someone who puts their entire lire in the public eye should be commended. If you don’t like his platform, argue your point, instead of name calling.
Life in the public eye. (Sorry for the typo)
This guy is a joke.
Nice guy but this isn’t news nor will it get him more than 4 votes
Did he get his Trump endorsement yet?
Is this a joke?
