The owner of a home care agency from Old Forge is aiming for the chance at taking on the Scranton resident who serves as one of the state’s two U.S. senators.
Laureen Cummings, 47, a leading organizer of local Tea Party activists, said Tuesday she plans to seek the Republican Senate nomination next year. Winning the nomination could give her the opportunity to face the likely Democratic nominee, Sen. Bob Casey, in the 2012 election.
