Club for Growth Issues Its Annual Congressional Scorecards

moneyJust how fiscally conservative is your representative?

The Club for Growth describes itself as “a national network of over 100,000 pro-growth, limited government Americans who share in the belief that prosperity and opportunity come from economic freedom.”

The group publishes annual Congressional scorecards for each member of Congress that rates their votes on economic legislation. According to the club, the scorecard “rewards free-market champions and exposes big-government, tax-and-spend politicians.”

Unsurprisingly, Republicans scored higher than Democrats but the numbers do give an indication of where on the spectrum each representative lands. Also, it’s important to note that members of the House and Senate are judged on a different set of votes.

The scorecard for all Pennsylvania Congressmen is listed below:

  1. The Club for Growth is not really about growth. The country can’t grow without a good education system and good infrastructure – and that requires taxes.

  2. Didn’t Toomey used to run this group? How does he not get a perfect score…or at least an “A”?????

  3. Isn’t it a bit of a conflict for them to be scoring their former executive director? Funny – he got their highest rating somehow…

  4. a/k/a The Most easily Purchased congressional votes list. That “Club” doesn’t give a damn about freedom of any kkind, except the freedom to expand billionaire bank accounts. Go see who funds them – ALL Billionaires and their paid proxies. Doesn’t matter how many dead people are on the member lists, all that matters is where they get their money – that they then use to purchase Votes. And Toomey is their biggest Lackey.
